I was brought up on a farm in central England, and worked as a Building Surveyor in Bristol for a decade before leaving to set up a holiday cottage enterprise. I now work in partnership with other family members in a diversified farming business. Before going to University I spent six months in Zimbabwe volunteering in a local church and primary school. Seeing past the stunning landscapes I witnessed some of the harsh realities that the people face on a day to day basis. I have subsequently made three visits to East Africa, each time wrestling with how to make a positive difference to the needs that exist. I strongly believe that partnership in both a practical and spiritual sense can contribute towards a brighter future for the region.
